Hi, I’m Abe, and I’m a commercial photographer based near Washington DC who specializes in photographing architecture; I also photograph mountain bike races and landscapes throughout the East Coast.

Twelve years in the making, A.E.Landes Photography is an evolving project of different subjects and interests. At the start of my career, I was lucky enough to work with two wildlife photographers as an image editor and teaching assistant. They opened my eyes to best business practices, creating technical imagery, and how to create a life centered around photography.

After settling in Northern Virginia with my family and spending years photographing events and portraits, I had the opportunity to photograph an important architectural project here in Virginia.

Architectural photography was so different and challenging and suddenly - I was hooked.

The architects, contractors, and designers with whom I work with have visions and priorities of their own. I know that the project photographs are just a piece of their work. However, I take this as truth: most of my clients’ clients will never see the built spaces in person; they will only see the photographs of the space. Decisions and plans are made based upon these images.

The uses for construction imagery go far and wide: marketing, proposals, documentation, and industry awards. I am proud to support such a variety of AEC Industry clients as a commercial photographer, and I am excited to see their continued success in business.
